Read below for step by step instructions on how to configure your new Temperature Cable Element or Moisture Cable on your OPI Blue System.
- After you have installed your new cable, log into your OPI Blue account at www.managegrain.com.
- Navigate to the Nodes page by clicking on the "Gateways and Nodes" option under "System Settings" on the menu on the left hand side. Afterwards, click on "Nodes" at the top of the page.
- Navigate to the cable node that you physically wired the new cable to. You can use the "Filter" bar at the top of the screen to look it up by the node's name.
Once you are at the cable node, click on "Unmap" - After the node is un-mapped, wait 30 seconds and then select from the "Select Gateway" drop down menu the gateway to map the node to, and then click on "Map".
- Once the node is done mapping to the gateway, a new cable will be detected by the node and should now be available to be assigned to a bin structure. To navigate to the bin structure, click on "Sites and Bins" on the menu on the left hand side of the screen, located under "Gateways and Nodes". Then click on "Bins" at the top of the page.
- Navigate to the Bin Structure that you physically installed the new cable on. You can use the "Filter" bar at the top of the screen to look it up by the Bin's name.
Once you are at the Bin Structure, click on "Cables" and then click on "Edit" on the right hand side of the page. - Remove the old cable by clicking on "Remove Cable" under the "Remove From Added" heading next to the old cable.
Next, click on the blue + sign on next to the cable you want to add to the Bin Structure under the "Cables Available to Add" section.
Click on "Next Step" and then click on "Update Bin"
The new cable is now added to the bin structure and should begin reporting data within 1-Hour as the cable nodes report data to the gateway node on an hourly basis on average.
NOTE: The cable may need to be assigned to the correct location in the bin if the bin structure has more than one cable installed in it. You can do that by editing the cable position or by exchanging positions with another cable:
