There are 4 different meter standards (also known as meter types or grain curve standards). Read below to learn more about these standards and how to choose the best standard for your system.
Whether you have an OPI Blue system, an Integris system, or a StorMax Monitor, it is important to know that there are four different meter standards than can be chosen when selecting a grain type for your bins in your system. They are 919, G2100, UGMA, and Oven. A meter standard represents the mathematics behind how a Grain Curve calculates the moisture content of a grain mass stored in a bin structure from the measured temperature and relative humidity values in that bin.
You can determine the meter standard that is correct for your system simply by matching the standard that is being used at the grain elevator where you take your grain to market. If you are unsure of which standard they are using, contact them and ask, and change your system accordingly.
