Very rarely a StorMax Monitor will ask for an activation code even though it should not need one under normal use. Read below to see what to do when this happens.
If your StorMax Monitor asks for an activation code you will need to submit a help ticket to our CS team to procure one. To submit a help request, follow these instructions:
https://knowledge.opisystems.com/en/knowledge/how-do-i-submit-a-support-ticket
When you submit your support ticket, include the following information:
- The 16 character code displayed on the monitor screen when it is asking for activation.
- Whether it is a Standard or Deluxe Monitor. It will either say SM for standard monitor or DM for deluxe monitor on the branding of the monitor. Also, a Standard Monitor will not have a backlit screen and a deluxe monitor will.
- What the current firmware version of the monitor is. To get this information you power on the monitor and then read the firmware version displayed on the bottom right hand side. it will look something like 2.16d for example (the d stands for deluxe monitor).
After you have submitted this information in a help ticket a support representative will contact you with an activation code for your StorMax Monitor.
