What is the CO2 Sensor Exchange Program?

OPIsystems Inc. has a new CO2 Sensor available for use with OPI Blue Systems. There is some hardware that needs to be replaced so that an OPI Blue system can use the CO2 Sensor. Below is a process outline for this program.

Depending on your existing hardware on your current OPI Blue system, you may need to retrofit Cable Nodes located on the bin roof, Fan Control nodes located on the side of the bin wall near the fans, or some combination of them. Some of the old equipment can be sent back to OPIsystems Inc. under an RMA for a dealer credit, while other replaced equipment is not eligible for a credit.

Adding the Headspace (CO2) & New Cable Node (CNE Board)

A. Dealer orders a BLUE-HGQS in addition to a Cable Node retro kit (BLUE-CNE-KIT)

Note: BLUE-HGQS is discountable, however, BLUE-CNE-KIT is a non-discountable item.

B. Dealer installs the new hardware (CNE) & (BLUE-HGQS) and configures the system. (Follow retrofit instructions)

C. End of process.

Note: There is nothing with an old CNE board that can be refurbished to make it CO2 compatible, so it is not worth the cost associated to RMA it.

· 1 x CN Label (designating updated CO2 capable node)

Adding the Plenum Grain Quality Sensor (CO2) & New Fan Node

A. Dealer orders a BLUE-PGQS in addition to a Fan Node retro kit (BLUE-FN-KIT)

Note: BLUE-PGQS is discountable, however, BLUE-FN-KIT is a non-discountable item.

B. Dealer installs the new hardware (Fan Node) & (BLUE-PGQS) and configures the system. (Follow retrofit instructions)

C. Dealer submits an RMA for the old Fan Node board if the new board was used to replace an old non-CO2 CNE board. Submit RMA Support ticket here.

Note: If the new CNE board was used to update an existing CN01 to turn it into a CO2 compatible CN08, then no RMA is needed.

D. OPI receives the Fan Node and works to refurbish the PCB.

Note: Refurbishing the unit would take about 15-minutes. (This includes disassembly, soldering, test fixture validation, reassembly)

E. The dealer would receive a $75.00 dealer credit per applicable item to their account once OPI receives the RMA’d item.

F. If the RMA’d item is not received by OPI within the outlined 30-days, the dealer would be invoiced for the replacement BLUE-FN at full price. ($400.00/CAD or $344.00/USD)

Note: Refurbished Fan Nodes would be a resell option at $250.00/CAD or $187.00/USD
