What ports do I need to "open" on my router so that my internet connection will work with an OPI Blue Gateway?

There are network ports that need to be configured on a router so that the router will be an appropriate connection to allow an OPI Blue system to operate on a customer internet connection.

In order for a customer to use their own internet connection instead of a Cell Modem, there are five network ports that need to be configured on the customer's router so that a Gateway Node can communicate using the customer's internet connection. The ports are as follows:

  • 22
  • 8883
  • 1883
  • 80
  • 443

These ports need to be configured to allow for open communication between the gateway and the internet. How they are configured depends on the make and model of the customer's router. Configuring the router will need to be done by the end-user or an IT professional hired by the end-user and is not the responsibility of OPIsystems Inc.
